This is my entry into the recent competition to design the dust cover jacket for the book Phantom by Susan Kay. Its being republished which makes me very very happy as it's a hard to find book and is one of my favourites!!

Firstly, I adore how you drew this - I'm horrible at digital painting, and I envy anyone who has the skills to do so. And I love the depiction of the mask inside of his long cape. Hee. Great job.
I was somewhat dissapointed when my book arrived and it was the black and white cover. (It wasn't a bad cover or anything, I just like this one better.)

Ahh you're too sweet!! thank you very much!! I envy anyone who can digital paint with a tablet!! I'm working on it, but all my work so far has been done by scanning in a hand drawn image then working on it in Photoshop with a mouse and it takes aaaggeess!!

Oh its so wonderful For some time it was my desktop wallpaper . really love Kays characters..theyre so deep and fascinating in her book! im so sad that in my country i can't find this even in english o.O
